French Press
For using the French Press Brewing method, grind Graham's Original Medium Roast beans on a coarse setting on your grinder. Here's How to brew using a French Press:
1. Boil some water
2. Grind your beans( 1 cup of coffee = 3 tbsp of coffee)
3. Add your Coffee grounds into the French Press
4. Then add your boiling water to the French Press
5. Mix the grounds and the water until foam starts to form at the surface
6. Then let the coffee mixture steep. The time it takes to steep is determined by the roast. For Frederick's, let it sit for 4-5 minutes.
7. Finally, put on the lid and use the plunger to press the coffee. Make sure you press slowly or you'll get left over grounds in your cup. Then enjoy!
Drip Coffee
For using the drip coffee method, we recommend using Graham's Original Medium Roast Beans and set your grinder to coarse. Before you start, grind your coffee. Here are the steps for doing the drip coffee method:
1. Fill the reservoir with water (use filtered water if possible).
2. Insert the filter into the basket (paper or reusable).
3. Measure coffee grounds: about 1–2 tablespoons per 6 oz of water (or use a scale: 1:15 ratio).
4. Add coffee grounds to the filter.
5. Turn on the machine and let it brew (usually 4–5 minutes).
6. Wait until brewing finishes, then remove the filter and discard grounds.
7. Pour and enjoy your freshly brewed coffee.
Espresso Brewing Method
For doing the Espresso Brewing Method, we recommend using Graham's Original Dark Roast Coffee Beans. You will need a espresso machine and when grinding the coffee, have it on a fine setting. Here are the steps:
1. Turn on your machine( Wait 15-30 minutes to warm up)
2. Grind your coffee beans( You will need to really dial it in to get good flavor)
3. Once the grounds are in the filter, you will need to press on the grounds to flatten the pile so it's even( Make sure it's even or it will make the coffee taste bad)
4. Then twist it on the machine and use the part where it brews(Depends on your machine)
5. Once the coffee has brewed for about 20-30 seconds, stop the water or you don't need to(Again depends on your machine)
6. Then enjoy your shot of Espresso!
Pour Over Method
For the pour over method, we recommended using Graham's Original Medium Roast Coffee Beans. The grind setting you should use is a medium to fine grind. The pour over machine could be the one in the photo to the left or in a vase. Here are the steps to pour over method:
1. Grind your coffee( 1 tbsp =1 cup of coffee)
2. Boil water
3. Put your coffee filter on the opening
4. Scoop your coffee and put it on top of the filter
5. Then pour your boiling water. You want to pour small amount of water to let the coffee "bloom". Wait 30-45 seconds then, pour the rest of the water on to the coffee.
6. Swirl the coffee to get good flavor and then enjoy!
